Job Description

Description: Head of People & Performance, to design and deliver the People and Culture Plan. Your new company This commercial civil engineering and construction service organisation are going through fundamental change and transformation, as they grow organically, to the demands of the ever-growing Sydney city landscape. Your new role As the Leader of the HR function, your main aim is to design and deliver the HR strategy and overall people plan; and link this to the corporate plan and objectives of the organisation. Effectively a green field role, you will report into a Director who you will work closely with to develop a leading culture, strong EVP and good Industrial Relations, all within a challenging time of growth, success and change. You will be the fundamental backbone in the creation of a new HR department (2 reports) and have a place at the Senior Management table, to inform the direction of the HR department What you'll need to succeed This would suit someone with a generalist background, with a focus either on IR and or Recruitment. You will have experience as a People & Performance (HR) Leader previously. Strategies and plans will include workforce planning, employee engagement, capability, succession planning, workplace health and safety and employee wellbeing. In addition to experience in these generalist HR areas, you will have rewritten appropriate induction procedures, recruitment strategy, and assessed workforce capabilities, to inform succession planning, and overall talent recognition. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in human resources, business management or organisational development and extensive experience in industrial relations showing expertise in high level IR negotiations and demonstrated understanding of relevant policy, procedures, legislation, and regulations in IR & HR. Demonstrated experience in construction project management and the implementation of projects, frameworks and initiatives to support a growing and transforming organisation and culture would be beneficial.
