Perform vacuum heat treatments on industrial gas turbine combustion and hot gas path components undergoing repair. Operate and perform light maintenance on Ipsen and GM model vacuum heat treat furnaces. Fixture and set up loads for heat treat including placing and connection for load thermocouples as described in run sheets. Monitor furnaces throughout run cycle. Unload and stage parts for next operation. Review heat treat chart and certify run in accordance with specifications. Maintain and monitor thermocouple log book and replace as specified. Candidate is expected to perform routine troubleshooting and resolve minor operability issues with limited oversight. Review and assist in maintaining on site consumables inventory. Experience:
Desired candidate should have several years of prior vacuum heat treat operator experience running high strength alloys in the 1800F and higher range.

Understand and apply the principles of Manufacturing and state of the art manufacturing processes in a lean manufacturing environment. Trouble shoots both mechanical and electrical assemblies and repair as practical.
Math/Physics Ability:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as integral and differential calculus, linear algebra, and statistics and probability to the solution of engineering and technical problems.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic Electrical and Mechanical CAD software; Manufacturing software; Database software; Mathematical software; General office software (word processing, internet, email).
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
